Dr. R. Gunasundari

Professor & Programme Coordinator – Computer Science Stream

Dr. R. Gunasundari MCA M.Phil. Ph.D., serves as Professor in the Department of Computer Applications and as Programme Coordinator for the Computer Science Stream at Karpagam Academy of Higher Education. She oversees academic planning and programme coordination across five departments: Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Computer Technology, and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science.

With over 23 years of teaching experience, including 20 years at the University level, she has made significant contributions to academic excellence, curriculum development, programme administration, and faculty development.

A distinguished researcher, Dr. R. Gunasundari has published 104 research papers, including 7 SCI/Web of Science-indexed, 66 Scopus-indexed, and 31 peer-reviewed publications. She has presented 43 research papers at National and International conferences and has actively participated in 57 conferences, workshops, and seminars.

Her research accomplishments include one funded research project and two patents, demonstrating her commitment to innovation and Applied Research. Her areas of expertise include Computer Science, Computer Applications, Research Methodology, and Academic Programme Development.
Dr. R. Gunasundari actively contributes to institutional quality initiatives, including NAAC, IQAC, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) frameworks, while providing leadership in academic planning, programme management, and faculty development. Her extensive experience and commitment to excellence continue to strengthen teaching, research, and academic administration within the Computer Science stream.
