In the 4th -dimension era of drug discovery and development, innovation extends far beyond the laboratory bench. Volume 3 of this international conference focuses on the critical journey of translating cutting-edge research into safe, effective, and market-ready therapeutic products. Emphasizing integration of artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, digital platforms, and translational sciences, this volume brings together academia, industry, and regulatory stakeholders to accelerate the transformation of scientific discoveries into real-world healthcare solutions. The conference on drug discovery and development serves as a crucial platform for students, faculties, researchers, and industry professionals to converge and share the latest advancements, challenges, and breakthroughs in the field.

The Centre for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (CAPI) is committed to excellence in pharmaceutical development. The primary focus lies on Process development and the synthesis of off-patent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), including kilo-scale API production. The Centre is also actively involved in drug discovery, particularly in the design and synthesis of small molecules targeting tuberculosis, antimicrobial resistance, viral infections, and cancer. CAPI maintains collaborations with various academic institutions and industries both in India and abroad.

The Faculty of Pharmacy was established in the year 2015 with B. Pharm degree course approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and has since been deeply rooted in classical pharmacy teaching and research. In 2019, Pharm. D Course was started and in the year 2020, M. Pharm program initiated with the specializations of Pharmaceutical Analysis and extended with Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2022. Additionally, the Faculty of Pharmacy offers both full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs. The discipline covers a broad range of teaching and research areas from pharmacokinetics, drug-receptor theory, molecular and cellular mechanisms of drug actions, disease-specific systems of pharmacy, drug modality development, pharmacogenetics, personalized medicine, drug development, clinical drug trial, adverse drug reactions and toxicology. FOP has a strong team of academic and research staff committed to excel in the pharmacy education and research missions.
