The students are highly motivated to pursue higher studies as M.Sc. and Research programmes. All
these activities are performed as per the regulations of the University. This practice is implemented for
               the last 5 years.

               4. The Practice: This practice has been implemented by providing optimum utilization of lab
instruments by the students which inculcates research interest that help to improve their subject skills
in the form of trained manpower, publications.

In their undergraduate and post graduate level, the students are able to enrich their knowledge in
detailed methodology, execution of research and interpretation of the research outcomes.

In addition to the final semester projects as mentioned in the curriculum, KAHE provides the
additional working hours and expertise for improving practical skills.

In this practice, the student are encouraged to join for higher studies, design the research work and
explain in the forum for further clarifications, execution.

The assigned mentors guide them to complete the pre-planned objectives as discussed in the
               department level scientific forum.

The Scientific forum comprises of Head of the Department, experienced faculties and mentors.

               5. Evidence of Success (Details enclosed): In last five years, KAHE achieved the expected and
gradual increase in improvement through publication and patents by undergraduate and post graduate
               students.

               Total Publication - 07
               Total patent filed - 01

               Fellowships - 01
               Placement opportunity - 56

               Admission to post-graduation - 16

Admission to research programmes - 10

               Post-doctoral students - 03

DST-FIST Level I funding opportunity - 2018-19 (Under consideration for funding)

               6. Problems Encountered and Resources Required: Continuation of the practice with encouraging
results inspired other students also to take up their projects to next level which leads to shortage of
many reagents, chemicals and glass wares. Additional financial support is required for procuring
additional reagents, chemicals and glass wares to extend support to all the students.

               7. Concluding Remarks: This practice leads to research based learning activities and results in
student enrolment in life science programmes. The competence level of the students is enhanced to
enable the students to pursue their career in research and even bio entrepreneurship.
