              KARPAGAM ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION Tutor- Ward System The Tutor- Ward System was available
            introduced in Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE) from inception. The following system is practiced
             by all the departments of KAHE. 1. After the Induction/Orientation programme for the newly admitted students,
            one Tutor is assigned for the 20 students. 2. The Tutor collects the details of the students and maintains the data
               base. 3. The Tutor informs the general information about the Institution, Department, rules, practices to be
            followed, leave rules and discipline related points to the students. 4. The Time Table and other academic related
               information are provided. 5. The Tutor takes initiative to arrange for Coats and other materials required for
               practical/workshop (wherever applicable) classes. 6. Tutor- Ward meeting is conducted once in a month to
            enable the students to bring out the issues related to academic activities and action are initiated for resolving the
             same. 7. It is the responsibility of the Tutor to organize the Class Committee meeting once in a month in which
               HoD, Tutor, the other entire course teachers and other faculty members of the department take part. 8. The
            record of attendance is maintained by the Tutor and review is made once in 15 days. The parents of the students
                having less than 80 percentage of attendance are informed by post every month. Parents are called and
             counselled. 9. Information related to Continuous Internal Assessment and Semester Examinations are provided
             to the students by the Tutor. 10. Initiative is taken by the Tutor to organize Industrial Visits for the students. 11.
             The Tutor are responsible for addressing the discipline related issues. 12. The Tutor is given 20 hours training
             program for effective counselling of the students. 13. Whereever a Tutor resigns new faculty is appointed (from
                                                 the application date) as Tutor
