3.26 Major Activities during the year in the sphere of extension activities and Institutional Social
Responsibility

I. Extension Activities:

➢ The Literary Association Club conducted a training programme to the nearby school students
on “Developing Basic English Grammer”.

➢ Aero Club conducted demonstrations on Aero Modelling to the students of 4 schools located in
the outskirts of Coimbatore.

➢ An awareness program on “Internet of Things (IoT)” was organised by the Department of
Computer Science for the School Headmasters and Teachers.

➢ Theory and Practical sessions on Basics of Automobile Engineering were organised for Higher
Secondary School Students by the Department of Automobile Engineering.

➢ The Department of Computer Science Engineering organised an awareness program on “Cloud
Services” to the school teachers.

II. Institutional Social Responsibility

The following programmes/events were organised by the departments and other bodies of the
KAHE for the nearby community:

• Two Blood Donation Camps.
• Case study on Health & Environmental issues and mobility pattern of the slum areas.
• Social awareness on Clean Environment through Skid performance by the students.
• Women Empowerment through Smart Phone applications
• Awareness on “ Non Communicable Diseases” and an exhibition on “ Healthy Foods ”
• Awareness on “ Environmental Pollution and Control Measures”
• Awareness on “ Consumer Protection and Rights”
• Rally to create an awareness on “Energy Conservation”
• Rally to create an awareness on “Breast Cancer”
• Rally to create an awareness on “ Ill effects of Tobacco Usage ” in commemoration with
“No Tobacco Day”
