Karpagam Academy of Higher Education Alumni Association (KAHEAA) has been
registered (Sl.No.302/2017) under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act(TN
Act 25 of 1975) in the year 2017 as a lifetime platform for the welfare of the
Alumni of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE). Most of the alumni are
successful in the field of higher education, entrepreneurship and in
employment. The alumni association actively supports academic, professional and
societal growth of alumni by means of deployment of both financial and
nonfinancial resources. It also gives an opportunity to recollect their
memories and share their past and present life experiences. KAHE collects
feedback from its alumni and employers and exploits it to extend its curricula,
progress the amenities and the overall grade of the institution. Alumni
association updates the details of the alumni then and there. At the same time,
it also enables us to receive constant updates of our Alumni and to have
structured engagements with our Alumni of mutual interests and gains. The
office bearers of Alumni association consist of President, VicePresident,
Secretary, Treasurer, Joint Secretary and Executive Committee members. The
alumni from different branches of undergraduate and post graduate programs
interact with their junior students regarding the placement, internship,
project, higher education opportunities other career opportunities. Eminent
alumni from industry and research institutions are invited as resource persons
to deliver the guest lectures and motivational programmes webinars which
provide a platform for the students to get an idea for their next level. They
share their expertise on the latest technologies, working culture, challenges
in industry and motivate them for their career. It diminishes the gap between
academia and industry and makes the students globally competent and employable.
On a regular basis,endowment prizes are given to the students by the alumni.
Feedback is the best way to enrich the development of every student. Alumni
Chapter meetings are conducted at Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. KAHE is
also having the system of feedback, which is collected from alumni who can
share their views and suggestions on programme outcomes to enhance
infrastructure and teaching/learning. Alumni meeting enable the institution to
accumulate feedback from its graduates and employers and utilize to same to
enhance the curriculum and syllabus. And also, all the departments have alumnus
as one of the members of Board of Studies. Alumni assist the department to
discover the industries for students to undergo implant training and
internship. They conduct mock interviews and discuss the placement and
entrepreneurship opportunities. Alumni sustain the existing students in
planning and organizing cocurricular and extracurricular events and guidance
are given for functioning of various students clubs to exhibit and enrich their
knowledge. Some of the Alumni donate prizes and medals to the students showing
high proficiency in their academics. Alumni cell is actively participating in
social service activities like blood donation, donations in the form of
pillows, blankets, mats and medicine to the needy people particularly in
Government hospitals.
