As an initiative to promote research in
the emerging fields, Specialized
centers like Technology Incubation
Centre, Centre for Advanced Battery
Researchwas established. Seed money is
given to the teaching faculty for
initiating their research work. The
information related to the calls for
Project Proposals by the funding
agencies, Fellowships and Scholarships
for the students and faculty members,
publication of articles etc., are
disseminated to the concerned. Research
coordinators from various disciplines
were identified to encourage and
motivate other faculty members to
publish their research articles in
Scopus and Web of Science indexed
journals, proposal writing and
submission of proposals to funding
agencies. This initiative was
instrumental in getting the project
from DSTFIST and institutional approval
from CSIR. The guideline for executing
the MOUs were issued to the departments
and the effectiveness of the
functioning of MOUs is monitored on
quarterly basis by IQAC. The University
Industry Interaction Centre (UIIC) has
been established in the institution and
through active interaction with the
Industries, training programmes and
guest lecture was organized.
The institution gives utmost importance
for active learning through
SWAYAM/NPTEL platform by both the
Students and the Faculty Members. An
econtent development facility has been
created. The entire campus is wifi
enabled. 1 Gbps knowledge network
Bandwidth is availablefrom BSNL along
with Airtel leased line of 50 Mbps for
back up for accessing resources.
Teaching Staff: In the case of
recruitment of teaching staff, the
qualifications prescribed by the UGC
are followed. All appointmentsare made
by the Board of Management on the
recommendation of the Selection
Committee, constituted as per the UGC
