Department of Computer Science and Business Systems

The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS) at Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE), Coimbatore, offers a unique industry-integrated B.Tech programme in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Designed in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP), the programme aims to bridge the gap between core computer science education and modern business requirements.

The CSBS programme equips students with strong technical expertise in computer science while nurturing a deep understanding of business principles and organizational processes. The curriculum addresses the evolving needs of the IT and business industries by integrating computer science fundamentals with business intelligence, data-driven decision-making, and emerging digital technologies. A distinctive feature of the programme is its industry-aligned curriculum, developed with active inputs from TCS. Faculty members handling the course are trained by TCS, ensuring effective delivery of contemporary industry practices and real-world problem-solving approaches.

The department emphasizes hands-on learning through real-life business projects, fostering innovation, analytical thinking, and successful project execution. Students gain a strong understanding of technology abstraction, enabling them to design scalable and efficient solutions. Along with technical and business competence, the programme instills ethics and life values, shaping responsible professionals ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
