Department of Computer Applications

The Department of Computer Applications is one of the vibrant departments of the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education that offers courses such as BCA and MCA. Bachelor of Computer Applications was established in year 2000 and Master of Computer Applications was established in year 1998.
Department comprises a team of 16 faculty members, six of whom are doctorates. It is committed to impart quality education by providing strong fundamental knowledge complemented by extensive practical training. With academic autonomy, the department regularly updates its curriculum and syllabi enabling the students to apply latest techniques, methods and tools to solve problems in all domains.
To keep in touch with the ever-growing technology, the faculty members participate regularly in refresher courses and symposia conducted by various universities. The BCA and MCA programmes not only groom students for a successful career in the IT industrybut also encourages participation of students in the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to bring out the hidden talents in them.
