Ar.P.Kathiravan is  the Dean (i/c) of Architecture, Designing and Planning, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education. He hails from Coimbatore and has a career span of fifteen years in practice and academia. He received his bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Kamarajar University, Madurai in 2002, Master in Construction Engineering Management (CEM) degree from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal in 2004 and currently doing Ph.D in Green Buildings from National Institute of Technology, Calicut.

He started his Architectural practice with Venkataramanan Associates, Bangalore as a Designer manager. He worked on the projects including the Biocon Pharma Research and Manufacturing campus in Bangalore and many prestigious projects for companies like Purvankara, Prestige, Akshaya, premier & pricol etc., from Bangalore, Chennai and Coimbatore. Later he set up his own firm SK Associates and since then the practice has successfully bloomed into a house of integrated and comprehensive design services.

He started his academic career with Architecture, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education as an Associate Professor (visiting); he also served as Professor (visiting) in RVS School of Architecture and SRM Ramapuram School of Architecture, Chennai. Later he has been elevated as Dean (i/c), Architecture, Designing and Planning, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore.

Architecture has to do with planning, designing and constructing form, space and ambiance to reflect functional, technical, social, environmental and aesthetic considerations.
