Department of Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical Engineering is a fascinating multidisciplinary field that combines biology and engineering in this branch they apply Engineering principles and materials to medicine and healthcare. Biomedical Engineering is a relatively newly introduced branch of engineering. The demand of engineers with background of biology and medicine is highly increasing as the biomedical Engineers bridge the medical and Engineering disciplines to develop quality health care and related products.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering was established in the year 2016. The research specializations of the department are Bioinstrumentation, Biomaterials, Biomechanics, Biosignal Processing, Biomedical image processing, Implants & Artificial organs, Orthopedic Bio-engineering, Rehabilitation Engineering, Bio-MEMS etc.
